ASCENT: Programs for Growth is an experiential program that serves the children and families of Oklahoma County as a part of Child Guidance Services. We believe that people learn best when “doing”, when they are being challenged and having fun. Experiential activities provide the opportunity for each participant to learn in their own way, combining several learning methods. The goal of ASCENT is to provide experiences to group members where they can learn and practice skills that can be used to enhance their daily lives. ASCENT will create specific programs to meet the goals and interests of each individual group. We offer: Ropes Course, Games and Initiatives, Staff Development, Workshops, Adjunct Therapy, Life Skills Training, and Study Skills.
