Exciting News from the Oklahoma City-County Health Department
(OCCHD)! We are proud to announce that our very own Dr. Patrick McGough (Dr.Mac) has been elected as Vice President of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term! Dr. Mac began his tenure on July 1, 2024, and is set to advance to the role of NACCHO Board President-Elect on July 1, 2025.
With 39 years of experience in clinical and community health, Dr. Mac has been a leader in our community since joining the Oklahoma City-County Health Department in 2008, and later becoming CEO in 2020.
Under Dr. Mac’s leadership, the OCCHD is building on a legacy of public health excellence. The department was one of the first in the nation to achieve accreditation by the Public Health Accreditation Board, and has consistently upheld this status, as a testament to its commitment to delivering health and wellness services to the community.
“I am absolutely thrilled and honored to serve as Vice President. NACCHO is a cornerstone for public health across our nation, and I look forward to contributing to its mission and helping to advance the health of communities nationwide.”
We celebrate this significant achievement for Dr. Mac and the Oklahoma City-County Health Department!
